Aboriginal Necklace – Swan River Dreaming – by Momo

$45.00

Our beautiful Aboriginal necklaces, designed by children in the foster care system, are helping them discover and connect with their cultural heritage.

The Derbarl Yerrigan, or Swan River, holds immense cultural significance for the Noongar people. It served as a vital location for community gatherings, hunting, foraging, and performing ceremonies. Noongar people would toss a handful of sand into the river upon their arrival as a traditional gesture to acknowledge and inform the Waugul, or Rainbow Serpent, of their presence.

The necklace is handmade with leather and a silver clasp. Our pendant measures 35 mm in diameter.
